And on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Knowledge is three and everything else is merit: a court verse, an existing Sunnah, or a just duty.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Ibn Majah.
